Shortly after we started doing missions, I recognized the need for this equipment at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya. With your generous help and a discount from the company, we were able to provide that equipment for Tenwek Hospital – and lives were changed. A year ago, after several young lives were lost at Soddo Christian Hospital in Ethiopia, you again rose to the challenge and that equipment was recently used for the first time by one of our PAACS graduates turned faculty, Dr. Tewodros, to save a child’s life.
Dr. Tewodros removed a kernel of corn from the right lung of this young man using the specialized equipment provided by S3 Ministries last year. It was made possible through your generosity. Several children died in 2014 at Soddo Christian Hospital before this equipment was available.
Micky has kept busy working on the reports for the 2014-2015 fiscal year for PAACS and the CMDE (Continuing Medical & Dental Education) committees. They should be finished soon. She went with the PAACS administrative assistant, Ms. Terry McLamb, to Bristol for three days (August 24 – 26) in a successful attempt to better accomplish the book-keeping needs of PAACS in the CMDA accounting software. She is amazing and does so much to keep PAACS, CMDE and S3 on an even keel.
